There seem to be no 'plush art scene' here and no shows or craft fairs to participate in. As a plush character designer it can be tough selling/showing my work in my own country. Most people here still seem to see plush characters as children's toys. Thank god for the global online community. That way I can reach people who seem to like what I am doing! It feels like there is so much going on in the US: just a few months ago there was Plush Rush, Plush Week is on now and later on this year Plush You II. And they still say that Europe is the place to be for art and design... that's not how I see it living here in The Netherlands.
