Great tips! I just opened a store a couple of months ago, and we’re still growing, but we hope to make your list of favorties some day ;-) I just wanted to add that when in doubt, you can always ask for a swatch. We mail up to four swatches for free. Other stores usually have a swatch policy too, although it may be informal.

I have purchased fabric from both Cia’s Palette and the Fat Quarter Shop in the past and not only do they have great selections of fabric, but both have wonderful customer service. My various emails to both companies have been responded to promptly and they ship quickly. Nice to see them mentioned on your blog!

just discovered your blog – and love your fabrics and quilting – i am a seamstress and love unusual fabrics for bags and skirts and other random clothing items – not much of a quilter, but i feel a little inspired to make a log cabin pillow with some of those Denise Schmidt fabrics from fatquartershop. can’t wait to see what you do next :)

I found Cia’s Pallette through your website and adored the fabric and the service. My bundle arrived wrapped in tissue with a darling kitty sticker holding the ribbon binding. A true present to myself!

Also great experience with equilter and fatquartershop. I have used My Blue Bamboo and Contemporary Fabric with success as well.

But my favorite site is equilter because of they user-friendly design wall.

Last but not least, I love whipup.net! Inspiring and entertaining and educational. Thank you and all the contributors for your time and effort.

Thank you so much for those links. The Denyse Schmidt fabrics are absolutely great and I also love the Amy Butler´s. A pitty that shipping to Germany is so high, but on the other side the fabrics are cheaper than here in Europe.

thanks for the fat quarter shop link! i just ordered a set of amy butler fat quarters. i was drooling over fabric online yesterday but just couldn’t justify buying 1/2 yards.
oh and i love your blog! it’s very inspiring :-)
