yeti crab plush

mediatinker made a very cool plush of the bizarro furry lobster thing (aka the “yeti crab”) some enterprising scientists dredged up out of a hydrothermal vent. I love how the news story was out for only a couple of days before the stuffed version appeared. And there’s a pattern!

I love it! How do you look at something like that and go “oh, yeah, a bit of furry material and some stitching, I can do that” Brilliant! such detail!

Indeed. Brilliant! I love offbeat toys.

(It’s funny, isn’t it, the real one looks totally plush!)

When I saw the photo on Wednesday I couldn’t help myself thinking about how to make it into a toy. I was so distracted at work on Thursday that I decided to spend my Friday getting it out of my system. I’m glad you like it.

That is so funny that someone made that because when i saw the real crab pictures a few days ago I was like, “That looks exactly like a softie!” It is seriously hard to tell the difference, mediatinker did a great job!

How neat is that- I think I would have a couple of those as bed decorations and maybe another for my pet rabbit to toss around !

That’s pretty great. I’m stunned at how quickly you whipped it up; seems like it was in the news just yesterday. Love it.
