Yes, korinthe, a reader sent me a link to that dress after I posted about mine and I was super impressed. I wrote a post about it and lauded her skills as a seamstress! The first and only umbrella garment I had ever seen was from tiffany tomato

but I wanted to try make a garment that nobody might guess it was umbrellas unless you told them. Unfortunately, at this point I have more umbrella fabric than time, as I’d love to do some more stuff! I really like the jacket which I draped out in one night from one umbrella and scraps.

Points for creativity and recyclability, but I’m guessing the sweat factor is unbelievable in a waterproof dress. Ugh. . .

wow! that is really pretty, and i love that it is made from something so unique. it’s also nice to see a movement towards recyling and planet friendly craft. :)
