I think the idea of whiplash is very good. It's good for any crafter or artist to once in a while just whip something up quickly, because making decisions fast can help seeing your craft differently. Timeframes are always too tight in most of the things in life, but a short one is just what makes whiplash special. When it comes to themes - themes are really, really hard to come up with. I think you've done really good job coming up with themes for whiplash. Not every theme is for every crafter, but it's also very hard to serve everyone at once. I believe that the longer whiplash continues, the greater is the number of contributions. All the good things only get better in time! :) (I have to admit I haven't entered yet myself, but I found out about the whole thing only recently.) Congrats to winners and Thank You for keeping up the good work!

First of all, I absolutely love the idea of whiplash. Almost always pressed for time, sometimes too pressed to participate, but quick projects are my thing. I check in to try to find the theme every so often though and I think that part of the problem with entering, mine anyway, is finding the right information quickly. Many times I've checked out the whiplash page (via the right nav button) to find out about the theme, only to remember that the current theme is not posted there. But it does say that the theme is posted on the blog every Thursday. So I go back to the blog and look for the right post - but the posts are dated without weekdays, so I open my calendar (I am usually long gone by now) and check the date of the last Thursday, then check the blog to find the theme. These sound like really picky comments, but when I just want to check in quickly and it takes a few minutes when I'm in a hurry, I do just pass on it! Congrats on getting this together though, I think it is great, and I hope to participate soon!

Congrats to all the winners. I love WhipUp & Whiplash. I hope you never get discouraged by any comments made about anything you do. This site & contest is fabulous. I didn't enter last wk b/c time did not permit. But I love that your themes are vague - so cool to see everyone's diverse interpretations & executions. Thanks for doing all that you do!

although i think the competition is a great idea, i have to agree with the comment that was made about the blog now being innundated with whiplash posts. i know you said they will be minimal going forward, but i just think that for people like me who are just readers of the blog and not looking for competition, it sort of detracts from the original purpose, or what i thought was the purpose.

however, i must be honest and say that i will still continue to read it either way...you guys are doing a fabulous job. ;)
