whiplash introductions
I am really excited to see a few entries for the whiplash introductions.
I have had to delete a couple of entries, one that were not to a static page, and two that linked to items on sale at etsy. I didn’t really say anthing about this before, not thinking it an issue, but linking to an item that is for sale, on site such as etsy or ebay or on a commercial retail or online store will not be allowed - sorry about that.
A couple of initial entries that have caught my eye so far are for tutorials.
the finger knitted and then felted worms that have been made into ‘butt cushions‘ are fabulous. This blog is called Hildes hekle-strikkeri-hurra! Hilde’s place for crocheting and knitting. by Hilde in Oslo, Norway.
and the nuno felting tutorial at Helenes side blog i thought was very interesting as well.

two ideas for whip-up that I post here rather than try to hunt down the right e-mail address to send to:
1. It would be wonderful to put together a compendium of free patterns on the web - from the booties to Turkey Feather’s lamb to weewonderfuls’ kitty and bunny to the minimoopy on neststudio.
2. I would love to have a Q&A feature. I run into crafting dilemmas and wish that I could consult with other quilters or sewers about projects. something like questions people submit on Design*Sponge or Apartment Therapy - send in a picture and the description of the problem and get comments and advice in return.

wow, jenny that is a really cool idea! i love the Q+A idea., it’s nice the way apartment therapy does it, since it’s in-depth, and has more images, and it’s easier to comprehend. the signal-to-noise ratio is better that way (as compared to plain forums) :)
