I have been having a running debate with a friend in regards to what is art. She says to be an artist, you have to be a brilliant painter, photographer, etc. I totally disagree, and these pix prove my point! I say art is where you find it and it doesn't matter if you are a crafter, "coffee designer" or whatever. It is just pure expression.

Thanks Courtney! It does seem difficult - you'd need a very steady hand, not to mention the ability to draw! :-D

They call it the "pull." My boyfriend is into this and takes it very seriously. Sometimes I make bad smiley-face latte art just to bug him. Although he's not much better - it's quite difficult.

The first time I had a gorgeous espresso was in London at a cafe - I was on one of the first dates with my now husband and the guy who made the espresso gave me one, with a rose and my husband, one with a naked woman!! :-) He made it right in front of us with a toothpick!!
