		<description>Rolling and whipping fabric is a technique used extensively in French handsewing and Sarah Howard Stone has two [now very expensive b/c they&#039;re out of print] books on French handsewing.

I will hunt down the rolling and whipping pages from the books and try to provide a tutorial on my blog.  It&#039;s a very simple process once your hands get the muscle memory of scooting along the fabric edge, if that makes any sense.

In French handsewing, it&#039;s used to finish edges of Swiss batiste fabric (or lawn) before attaching laces or tatting.</description>
