Homemade dolls’ houses to make with children

While the new school year may have just begun in some parts of the world, it’s school holiday time in others. For school holiday/children’s craft dolls’ houses out of boxes and other recycled materials, there’s a one-room design at Things2make, a house with more rooms at FamilyFun, furniture ideas at Kitchenhelper, and a clearinghouse of links for using boxes for dolls’ houses and all sorts of other things at Artistshelpingchildren. (Including a silo; although not many children have asked me recently to help them build a silo.)

Alternatively, if you’ve got girls who aspire to be fashion designers, take a hint from the atelier at Yarnstorm.
