My little mochi - a real jem of a craft blog.
Lately she has been doing some halloween crafting with the kids – here is a sample:
Her recent monku monday really hit home – a list of all the things about crafting that really annoy her. Here are some of my faves:
2) Having to re-thread my bobbin when I have just a couple inches of sewing left to do.
7) “Someone” using my good sewing scissors for cutting things other than fabric.
11) Zippers – which really aren’t as hard as I like to think they are, however, I do think they are hard to do well, especially when sewing clothes.

wow kath, you picked out my favs too, EXACTLY.
I used to hate re-threading my bobbins, especially because I like to wind them slow (to prevent seam puckering due to thread stretch.) I just tried it through the needle last night, and it saved me a ton of time! (Depends on your machine, whether you can thread bobbins through the needle or not.)
I also try to keep more “paper” scissors on hand to prevent my good shears walking away. My Little Mochi had a wonderful translation pdf for Japanese craft books, and basic construction terms & directions. Very useful if you don’t know which piece is “head” and which is “body”!!!
Thanks so much Kath!
