Nina writes in with a desperate plea for a stuffed robot pattern

I work at a fabric store in St. Paul and a customer came in last week with a cute pattern for a stuffed robot. I should have gotten more
info from her but she said she got it off the internet, so I figured I could find it. Help, I can’t find it.

Yep, I’m guessing it was Hillary’s. Great pattern too – I’m sending them out as gifts for my expectant sisters-in-law (nephews on the way).

I’m sure it was Hillary’s. Even if it wasn’t…you won’t be disappointed!

there are also the ones that Jess Hutchison designed, but the booklet is no longer available. I’m just finishing Kate the Kitten from knitty and I’m hoping to persuade her to somehow make at least a basic pattern available, if not maybe the booklet in PDF format or something.

Like many, I’m addicted to Hillary’s toy patterns. If you’re looking for something girlier, the kitty/bunny/bear pattern from her other booklet is super easy, even if you don’t have much sewing experience. I’m rather partial to the Make-A-Long dolls too. It’s a great way to use leftover bits of cool fabrics.

I made a robot http://www.flickr.com/photos/52232857@N00/305005633/in/set-72157594461085015/ If you like a pattern I’m happy to send it to you!

    good luck with the robots!

If you don’t find the exact pattern you saw, it’s not hard to invent one. My son drew a robot out for me and we made it together. You can see it at

They are such fun subject matter.
