tutorial: handmade paper beads

I was inspired by cimorenegal at flickr to get onto these handmade beads that I am seeing around. They are really wonderful. Here is a good tutorial that I found to try your own.

    those are great paper beads. I’ve made them before and used as a necklace. Also made them with wire and mini beads wrapped arond the bead. Really fun and many variations!!! Thanks for reminding me about paper bead love!

    If you’d like to see just how lovely jewelry made from paper beads can be, check out Beads for Life. The beaders are Ugandan women who are either war refugees or who are living with Aids/HIV. The jewelry is beautiful, as are the craftswomen who make them.
