Over at Art Esprit I have added a new feature interviewing artists via podcast with photos. I was thrilled to interveiw sculptor Leigh Pennebaker from NYC. Her work is labled wire couture and is created entirely from fencing wire. Her sculptures have been shown in galleries around the USA as well as the windows of Saks Fifth Avenue and Barneys in NYC. Next month her work will appear in our gallery along with textile artist Danny Mansmith.

really fabulous! look up sculptor Milton Rosa-Ortiz – he makes work out of small hanging shards of glass he’s found. The work is quite remarkable and once he recreated the dress Jennifer Lopez wore to the academy awards.
That is amazing, looks like a lot of work and time though!
my friends and i were JUST talking about leigh because her dad is an amazing art professor at the college i work for. he’s shown us a lot of her work. how crazy to find her here!
