    Thank you for your post - wonderful demo! I’m a relatively new knitter and, while I do knit continental, I don’t even come close to the economy of motion shown in this demo. I’m off to grab my project du jour to knit along with the video on the second run-through! Sue

    Great video! I’m a crocheter only at the moment, but I have been making little attempts here and there to knit. It seemed like a lot of work, but wow, continental seems so much smoother! They really explained the stitched well! Now, too bad they couldn’t show me an easy way to cast on, then I’d be set!

    Actually, knittinghelp.com has a bunch of great videos like these to help knitters at any level - even those who’ve never knit before.

    Very, very cool…thanks for sharing that! I am a “thrower” but have been wanting to learn continental…this is enough to make me want to know how to do it! :)

    What a great video - when I knit (which is rarely), I’m a thrower, and I didn’t even realise that’s what it was called. As someone who prefers crochet to knitting, this method makes so much more sense to me, and I feel inspired to try knitting again.

    I need to practice the continental method, I am a thrower now and know that it is not a fast or good way to knit. I think I would enjoy knitting so much more if I can convert to the continental method. Thanks for sharing this video.
