tutorial: fabric charms
Smaller than an ATC and with wonderful wearable possibilities, fabric charms are worth exploring. The photo above is from this blog and if you look at this photoset from Ruth Rae you can see the charms in detail. Her work is due to be featured in the May/June issue of ClothPaperScissors.

This is brilliant and beautiful! I immediately thought of what fun it would be to teach my 11-year-old stepdaughter to use a sewing machine with a project like this because perfection isn’t even an objective. THEN I thought of the 20 pounds of old Barbie clothes in a Hefty bag in her closet that I haven’t donated yet. The fabrics and mini-designs on those clothes would be PERFECT for a project like this if you were making a bracelet for a young girl or young woman. Thank you for this idea!
