Wow! Just what I was looking for, honestly. As I switched on my pc I was thinking about my sister’s baby shower, and wondering what exactly to make… spooky. Thank you!

ooooooh these are lovely! does anyone have a pattern for that stripey 70′s one (top left photo)????? I just have to make it for my daughter she’s a very retro baby! I made her a pair of beautiful knit patchwork pants from a 70′s Golden Hands book.

The stripey one is by Elizabeth Zimmerman called the baby surprise jacket. I know you can buy it as a kit or find the pattern in her book Knitting Workshop.

the stripey one looks a little different to the regular baby surprise jacket pics I found, the sleves are more flared, the neck is wider, and the way that the front crosses over (where the buttons go) – all things that I like more than the original…. they sound like a lot of fun to knit though!!

I knitted the Snake Charmer from Knitty and found it to go REALLY fast.

Here’s the link to see what it looks like. The mother LOVED it as she lives in South Texas and it was the perfect winter jacket for her little one.
