awesome challenge. i wish i caught on sooner…next next time.
its hard for me to pick my favorite b/c theiry all so unique…but i would have to say that “felt & floss” and “absolutely scrappy” are a couple of the most unique quilts i’ve seen in a while.

Absolutely Scrappy and Fluffy Bird at Sunrise were my two faves!
And I was glad to sneak my Log Cabin Coaster Quilt in under the wire! It’s been a while since I’ve gotten my act together to enter, and I’m super pleased to be “playing” again! Thanks Whip Up, and good luck to everybody!

I love the Fluffy Bird at Sunrise, Think Green, and Love Apples but they’re all just lovely. Can’t wait for next month’s challenge.

Fluffy Bird for fabrics & composition, Felt & Floss for unbelievably perfect craft & applying that old negative space concept to a quilt (I’m a little biased because I made a table runner last winter using a similar technique with felt)! Mine feels so silly in comparison- egads. Thank you to everyone who posted, it has been inspiring to see the work!

Love Apples and scrappy cartwheels were my favorites, but I agree, so many
clever and original quilts. And beautiful workmanship.
This is my first Whiplash competition and I am proud just to have figured out the technical end of things… a non-blogger… but obviously I got the badge thing all wrong.

Absolutely Scrappy was a really unique and cute idea. Love the colors of the first one in Charm Pack Love. Fluffy Bird is beautiful. Wow on the hand pieced and quilted Scrappy Cartwheels. Confetti was fun and cool, too.
I agree, they are all so different and unique it’s hard to choose a favorite.

My favourites are - ’scrappy cartwheels’(beautiful colours and textures also hand-sewn, the ransom quilt (visually striking, unconventional stitching and humour and the confetti one (what an ingenious way of putting the ‘confetti’ pieces in!)
Love the diversity of designs, colours and ‘personalities’ of these entries!

My vote for faves. goes to the Ransom Note quilt for purely unique and the Log Cabin Coaster Quilt for great use of colour, but all in all, like with every Whiplash comp., every entry is fabulous.

I LOVE the confetti quilt and tut! I’m gonna go make one. Maybe it will be done in time for the next whiplash quilt contest. Ha!!!

Definitely the RANSOM NOTE quilt. Fresh and original!

Think Green, Japanese Red & Fluffy Bird were my faves - the green and red for the colors and the bird for just being such a nice composition, it’s something I’d hang on a wall like a painting. I also liked the originality of Felt & Floss and Ransom Note - way cool! :)

I like felt & floss and the confetti quilts. Both rather minimalist, and delicate.

Felt and Floss won me over with the really original concept and flawless execution. I also loved the Ransom Note quilt for its originality and sense of humor.

Fluffy bird at sunrise is my favorite, followed closely by felt and floss and then confetti quilt! Great stuff!
