Hi! I’m getting married later this year and I’ve decided to crochet my bouquet. Of course, I want it to be absolutely fabulous and I need a lot of inspiration. So I was wondering if any of the whip up readers might have some knowledge of pretty flowers to crochet? Thanks in advance! :-) Carina

Such a great idea! I love it! strangely, I came across this free pattern for crocheted daffodils only half an hour ago…

Hope it helps, I’m sure there are lots more patterns out there. Also, have you tried joining Ravelry? I recently got my invitation and signed up, it makes finding patterns that you need soooo much easier! and I’d love to see some photos of your bouquet when it’s done!
Hi Carina! I’ve made a pattern for a crocheted flower that you can find in my blog at this link: http://knittingplace.blogspot.com/2006/03/flower-power.html

Nikki Epstein has a book out full of crocheted flowers (appropriately called Crocheted Flowers, I believe). For plenty of inspiration all in one place, you can’t beat it. Your local library may have it, but purchasing is also a bargain when you consider how much wedding flowers can cost. Best of luck to you; I think a crocheted bouquet is a fantastic idea.
For my wedding last year, I crocheted flowers for all the guests to wear, like [having mental blank - you know when people wear a flower on their lapel?]. They were super easy to do, looked very nice, and the guests were tickled. I don’t think the simple flower I used would suit a bouquet, but I wanted to share the crocheted wedding flower happiness :)
