Handy. My daughter is constantly asking me to make things for her. So asked for a knitted strawberry shaped hat. I tried my first hat using circular needles and it was going along swimmingly until I discovered that I had somehow inverted my needles and had made a figure 8 instead of a circle. Hat number 2 provided less a disaster. She now proudly wears her strawberry hat and has asked for a mini version for her baby sister.

i can vouch for that book, i wrote the 'how to cross stitch' section plus a pattern to make a rag doll.

actually, i've just posted a new pattern on my blog, my daughter has to wear an eye patch to help improve her eyesight, and it's a little tutorial on how to make one out of felt!.
