this if pretty funny/weird/kooky – fits right into our alt craft month: knitted brown tube, decreasing to a point at one end – felted and filled it with lavender and polyfill, coiled it into a turd shape and stitched it in place. by knitphomaniac

Ok, lets draw a line here. If you have enough time and creativity to knit poop, switch crafts and do something else!

First a crochet penis then crochet breasts. Now knitted crap (how apt). With all of the truly creative things people are currently crafting, this is what you focus on? Stike three Whip Up. Count me among those no longer interested in your once wonderful website.

HAVE YOU LOST YOUR MIND! What the heck is going on here?!?…First the penis…WHICH WAS MILDLY FUNNY…. then the booby pillow..LOLOLOLOL..and now a pile of poo! OMG! GET A GRIP GIRL! ( I sheepishly have to admit I logged on partly to see what genetalia you would be showing us how to crochet today, OH! TWISTED SISTER! ) :)

The best part of this is that it smells nice.

“this is what we focus on”? have you not noticed any of the other great creative posts this month?

This is really disgusting.

I’m with you Kathreen … how could they say this is what *you’re* focused on when you have so manyother posts to prove otherwise? It seems to me that someone else is focused on just a couple things …

While this is not my thing, I’m glad that you posted it. I don’t understand where people got the idea that this website is only for rated-G, innocuous, and 100% tasteful projects! Thank you for posting any and all ideas/projects/artists that you find creative and interesting.

I’m sorry you got some, er, crap, for posting this and other stuff. I think you do an amazing job with Whipup, I could not begin to imagine the hours and effort, blood, sweat and tears you put into this site. Thankyou for it. So much.

I just wanted to comment that I love Whipup, I find this funny, and I second the poster above me’s “thank you.”

I also have to say that I’ve seen a similar crotched item at a craft fair, and it was marketed as a “poop-eri.”

people get offended at knitted poops? what a tiny sad little world they live in.

12 Kalee January 1, 2009 at 8:18 pm

i don’t see how this is offensive.
and bunch of super conservative old women must be reading this blog.
i hope they don’t need to use the toilet or want to go to an art museum some day.

poop-eri…love it! I love Whipup, grateful for the creative juices!

Kalee shouldn’t diss us older gals….mustn’t assume. If you’re lucky, Kalee, you too will be an old woman one day. Happy New Year!

i dont read this blog often, i just stumbled upon this page, but i just wanted to say that this is hilarious. those early comments might have hurt your feelings a bit but, you know, haters gonna hate. i am making myself some poopourri tout suite. i will call them cat turds and they’ll keep my lingerie smelling beautiful. bet my boy would like some too.
thanks for the good laugh, keep up the good work and don’t let the haters get you down!!

I am embarrassed for humanity. That somebody would get so offended. Step into earshot of MY verbal assault, if you will. If you have limits imposed by your religion or your upbringing or your own thought process, then perhaps the internet isn’t the place for you. I thought the pile of shit was a great idea. Kudos.

Heeheehee! This is so silly and whimsical! I love it! I’m going have to make these for everybody in my family; they’ll be a hit!
