Cocoon Designs’ mushroom scenes are delightful, but I can’t help but wish Lass o The Moon hadn’t copied Stephanie Barnes’ chicks quite so closely: http://www.etsy.com/view_transaction.php?transaction_id=54143

i thought perhaps i had seen this elsewhere too… i’d agree the heads are very similar but the beaks and bodies are different. but i thought that somewhere i originally saw this in a japanese craft book.

we’re all inspired by others, but this starts the whole debate of what is whose idea and is something derived yours or still copying? it’s a hard line to define and draw when creations are sold for profit.

Great ideas here for what to do with leftover felted wool from handbags that I make! These felted birds are adorable. I’m wondering if I’ve seen them someplace in a Japanese craft book – so the idea could have come from anywhere & everyone interprets it their own way. How many variations on a chick are there anyway?
