Is that as simple as four squares sewn together? It looks a bit more complicated than that, but I love the dressier look for bean bags. Maybe it’s one big square and two small squares with sides half as long?

Yes! And Diane of the amazing Crafty Pod wrote a great tutorial on making otedama in the most recent issue of Craft magazine. It’s a great, easy-to-follow tutorial.
