This is wonderful and a fantastic idea. I love the idea of taking an old idea and putting a modern spin on it. It would be awesome to put whimsical designs and hang it in a child’s room or even just the initial. Wonderful idea!!!

Personally, I’m not a fan of that sort of display. But there’s not much you can do with a finished cross-stich. My mum and her SIX sisters made a quilt for my gran using all the cross-stiches they did when they were growing up, with wide satin ribbons between the pieces. I don’t have a pic, but it looked amazing.

This would be fun to do if you had a lot of pieces, then you could swap them around into different arrangements for things like holidays or seasons. I could especially see it being a fun idea for a crafting room and you could hang up your works in progress that way.
