I wonder if they are accepting new members? I have always been a great fan of soap in all its forms.

I did not realize there was a Soap and Detergent Association. We (Sweden) use degrees, so what is 40 degrees C, cold or warm? It just doesn't match up no matter how much I try, we usually wash at 30(86), 40(104), 60(140) or 95(203) degrees C(F). So whenever I'm in America I always was everything in cold, just to make sure I won't ruin anything. Other than that the symbols are pretty much the same, the dry-clean symbols usually have a letter for the comical to be used inside the circle.

I’ve always been so confused with the dots for cold, warm and hot water temperature.
