debbie bliss – magazine

in knitting+crochet+yarn, Whip-Up

Did you know about this? I didn’t, just as well I crawled out from under that darn rock I’ve been hibernating under! *wink* Interesting to see a knitwear designer have her own magazine. Anyone got their hands on a copy? It was launched on 5 September. Link.

I must have been living under a rock too, because I only saw it when I went to Joann’s this weekend to buy thread! For $7.99, it’s definitely a lot cheaper than her pattern books. Pattern for pattern, it’s more expensive than IK or VK. BUT, there are quite a few patterns in there that I’m really diggin’, especially that cover pattern. I’ll be posting some shots of it on my blog this week.

I also saw it at Jo-Ann. That beautiful, oversized cable on the sweater is what caught my eye.

i didn’t know anything about it, either. but i found it and bought and it’s groovy. it has a good feeling overall, and lots of style.

I stumbled across it too, and like it so far, though i realize the color choices may be swaying my judgement (so much yummy grey!)

Being a fan of Debbie’s designs I was happy to see this mag come out. A nice range of designs for variety of different yarns. Not overly filled with ads. I would definitely recommend this magazine to any degree of knitter!

I’ve already ordered the yarn for the cover sweater. Not sure how often I’d buy this, but I love this first issue!

I just posted about this a couple of days ago. It’s a great magazine – I got mine at my LYS.

I saw it at Jo-ann’s – I used my 50 per cent off coupon on it.

I bought mine at my local yarn store ysterday. Love the patterns though I already see a problem I can’t figure out. The pattern Cable Vent Jacket is the reason I bought the magazine. I don’t think the yarn requirment is correct. 1166 metres for a full sweater in DK? It is also the same yarn requirment, and type, for the Collared Sleeveless Top in the same issue. I checked the Debie Bliss website and it may be to soon for magazine corrections, but there is also no one to contact and ask. Anysuggestions?

Hi, does anyone have a copy of the first Debbie Bliss magazine that they would be willing to sell. Mine was inadvertently binned and I am halfway through a pattern!!

Unfortunately, I accidentally threw my premier issue of the Debbie Bliss magazine out with old newspapers! I was wondering if anyone would just give me the directions for the egg cozy sweaters. The plain one would be fine. I made a bunch last Christmas for my tree and it is the cutest little pattern ever!

Good luck finding a copy – you might like to try etsy or ebay?
