A lot of people in my family have worn kilts (Highland Dancers and members of Pipe Bands) and I actually see the point of this. Real kilts are amazing works of art with many times the amount of fabric that it would take to wrap around once (if that makes sense). They are difficult to make and pretty expensive. Just because something is pleated and plaid doesn’t make it a kilt; it’s just a skirt.

And as every Scotsman will tell you, a kilt is not a skirt. (Oftentimes, in a loud angry voice.)

Anyway, there’s my two cents.
