blog reader survey

Please take my Blog Reader Project survey. (it takes about 10 mins and you don’t have to answer the questions you feel uncomfortable with – this is a general survey that is run by blogads) It would be great to see who whipup readers are…

[edited to add later - seems like a few of you are annoyed by this survey - I agree many of the questions are completely useless - please only answer those you are comfortable with]

I tried to, but after first page, clicked next, then it just refreshed the page I filled out.
When this problem is corrected at their end, I’d be more than happy to give it another go.
    Bye
    A

It’s a rather US-centric survey. For instance, although I regularly read news papers and magazines, I couldn’t find any on the list (’cause they’ve mainly Australian or craft related). If it’s customisable, how about a question re location or nationality, and perhaps asking do you read eg. Interweave Knits, Quilting magazines, Japanese craft magazines etc … might take a little time to research all relevant ones, I realise. I understand you wanted a simple survey, ready made, but I think the results won’t be so interesting to you. Will you publish a summary of the results?

I know sorry it is US centric and no I couldn’t customise it – it is run through blogads and yes the results will be available. I may run my own more specific to whipup survey at a later date (when I figure out how:) ) thank you for your participation.

Kath this is an extremely US centric survey and it could annoy many of your readers. I nearly stopped in annoyance about 3 times.
None of the questions are at all craft related but they did want to know what my political leanings are and if I voted in the American elections! As an Aussie of course I did not.
I understand that its not very customisable but what use is it to you? Sorry I just don’t get it and I cant see one single question that you can gleen anything from. It looks bad for you as at the end of doing the survey I wondered if I had been taken for a fool and you were on selling the info.

I’m afraid I’m another one who stopped in annoyance. For me it was the question on religions which didn’t offer an option that fits me (Anglican – which you’d have thought was fairly mainstream) or an option for ‘Other’. I know I could have left the question blank, but I didn’t have any motivation to continue with such a poorly written questionnaire.

I am sorry guys – please forgive me – please just answer the questions that are not too hideous – like age and location – and leave the rest. And no I am not selling the results on … the results will be published at the end. it is a survey organised by blogads – they do it every year and is meant to survey bloggers from around the blogosphere (although obviously it is US based). thanks for your patience.

Ok, I skipped over the questions that I didn’t feel like answering but I nearly laughed myself off my chair at the one asking how often you travel by Segway. That is a freakin’ hilarious question. And I’m glad it was there so that I could laugh at it. Happy Thanksgiving!

Done. I don’t see what the problem is with the questions…just miss out the one’s that aren’t relevant right!?!?!
