Denim Revolution: Dozens of Ways to Turn Denim Cast-Offs into Fashion Must-Haves by Nancy Minsky published by Potter Craft (May 13, 2008).

Infinite possibilities for your old denim jeans, suitable for all ages – especially those interested in fashion and design. There is an unusual mix of designs in here – I am sure there is something for everyone. I loved the fashion design style illustrations throughout too.

Designs range from Victorian style cloak and gauntlet’s to destroyed cargo pants, from a school girl tartan and denim pleated skirt to vintage lace jazzed up jeans, from country girl patchwork pants, to way way to short shortie shorts, from a lacy cowgirl skirt to an oversized cuffed tuxedo shirt. Instructions are excellent and descriptions very clear.

Worn denim is one of the most beautiful fabrics to remake into “new” clothing or accessories. The characteristics lend themselves to both serious craft-niks or beginners. Enjoy! On my blog you can see some examples of the kinds of diy projects that are in my book: http://21centurydressmakers.blogspot.com
