whipup roundup

Its been busy busy busy here at whipup and in the crafty blog world. With the holidays upon us and so much inspiration out there – it is impossible to not get caught up in the spirit of giving. This month we are going all out with handmade holidays. Tutorials and inspiration for holiday garlands and wreaths, tree ornaments and gifts, might throw some cooking and gift wrapping in there too.
But before I launch into all the cool stuff that has been going on at whipup in the last week I want you all to head on over to Nicole’s place and give her a big virtual hug, she has been sick for the past few weeks, but being the trooper she is has just carried on without complaint – seems thought that finally she had to take a break.
This past week at whipup we have seen the final artist showcases, here and here, from the whipup calendar [thank you to all the contributors, it was fun putting this calendar together]. It makes a terrific gift for crafty friends so if you don’t have one yet then consider a purchase.
So many ornament tutorials happening – you really are a creative bunch: paper ornament :: felt candy ornament :: chandelier ornament :: mini knitted mitten ornament :: but my fave tutorial this week would have to be the popup sleigh cards - how cool is that! And favourite handmade endeavour this week is the solstice calendar – I just love the time and love and thought that has gone into making this.
I also put together a mammoth list of festive tutorials – can be found here and am working on an online knitting pattern and resource guide – check it out here.
As usual thank you for reading. Until next week – keep up the crafting.

Sorry to hear that Nicole is feeling sick, the holiday season gives all of us more ideas for crafty projects than usually . I think its great how you have the tutorial videos and I shall especially look forward to watching the paper ornament ones.
Thanks Kathreen,
Keep up the good work :)
