I am on the hunt for instructions on how to make a kids’ flip out sofa. I’m not all that keen on the cheap ones with commercial images on them, or the more expensive and dull gingham print ones. I suspect they’re probably simple to put together if you only knew how!

Are there any tutes on the internet for these anywhere?

I am not sure about tutorials, but I have purchased a pattern for chairs and flip out sofas for kids at Jo-Ann’s. I believe it is a Simplicity pattern. I of course can’t find it now to say for sure, but it is most likely Simplicity.

I just recovered the flip-out sofa I got. It’s cheaper than buying the foam, even with spiffy upholstry fabric! The original cover makes a good pattern for the new one. If you already have foam to use, just measure the dimensions of a sofa in the store.
