Happy New Year to everyone – it seems like the busy holiday season has come and gone and now we are mostly back to work or regular life. In Aus kids are still on school holidays for another few weeks and my kids are busy with activities visiting friends and grandparents and learning piano. Lots of fun all around.
Whipup is slowly building up momentum again for the new year – with a bit of a holiday slump while we all concentrate on family and other projects – we have had a couple of contributor articles already this year – with some hints to use up leftovers to make mini pies – some fun activities to play with the whole family and some cool public knitting projects – if you would like to contribute an article then read our submission guidelines – January is frugality / resolutions month.
Towards the end of last year I revamped the site a bit – new header – and some not so obvious improvements behind the scenes – making the site load faster – what do you think?
Some fantastic articles, tutorials and just plain great crafting going on in the blogosphere already – this fantastic woven skirt – knitted couch cover - drafting a skirt pattern – wild woman voodoo crochet with Bjork and amazing sock monkeys – heaps more at whipup so come check our archives.
During the holiday week slow down i posted some best of for the year of whipup – did you get a chance to check them out? the best irreverent and fun articles – best contributor stories – best crafting guides – and most popular posts of 2008. these lists were compiled with the help of google analytics – telling me what you guys are reading – how cool is that.
Now don’t forget you can subscribe to this weekly newsletter in your inbox here and buy one of our fabulous whipup calendars here.
Thanks for reading and hope 2009 is even bigger and better!
