Image: The Envelope was developed in response to a brief that demanded social and environmentally responsible decisions – in the design of fashion garments. Exploring the transient diversity of fashion design through philosophical, technological and political pathways the Envelopes multiplicity is a way of extending its life and capturing its embodied energy. This piece is made from a one pattern piece – it takes its form by folding the fabric into sections and sewing a few simple straight lines. She also encourages everyone to download her pattern and instructions to make an envelope dress for themselves.
