Love the new full cover issue of Mixtape zine. Sadly saying goodbye to Nikki as she busies herself with her many other projects.

1. the obligatory mug of chai late, irrelevant of the time of day or night.
2. ipod playing, starting with either cold play or lily allen and working its way through my favourites playlist.
I’d put- My nieces voice trying to sing to U2′s new song “Get on your Boots”
She loves that song.
And I’d probably put something from- Lenka as well.

hmm… depends on the time of year, i would start by thinking of a theme and fill in from there. i am thinking spring:spring cleaning: i would include a couple knit dishcloths, recipes for natural cleaning supplies and a cloth shopping bag… and I always toss in hand dipped beeswax candles

1. I would take a 15 min walk and pick up treasures, rocks, stems, feathers, anything.

Two absolutely essential ingredients for a productive, crafty afternoon.
1)My darling granddaughter modeling creations; 2)her darling mama singing in Portuguese.
Ooooh – Mix Tapes are my favorites and I still make them for my friends on my old school stereo system :-) A few of my recent recurring songs would have to be “Broke” by Modest Mouse and “Sacramento Avenue” by Rose Polenzani. Also “The Beer” by Kimya Dawson.
I Love Love Love mixed tapes. I actual joined myspace so I could participate in a mixed tape club, which was hella fun.
1. A beautiful book of children’s book illustrations for inspiration.
2. Fresh set of brushes and paints.
1. No other plans for the rest of the day.
2. All the windows open with a breeze blowing through the house and the sun making the air nice and warm.
1. An unlimited shopping spree for fabric and yarn at Purl Soho

It is hard to narrow it down to just two! Currently my husband is stationed in Georgia while I am here in Virginia so I would have to say my two required things are:
1. Photos of my husband surrounding my crafty space
and
2. A long phone call with a good friend (husband or otherwise) before getting crafty :)
1. Spice Girls music – I am unafraid to admit that I still love them, and as a usually introverted person, their music always makes me want to create flamboyant, extroverted jewellery, which is always an adventure of the unknown for me!
2. Chocolate, chocolate chocolate. No matter what form it is in – hot chocolate, biscuits – I think chocolate makes the world go round!
Hot Tameles (candy) and Oldies music!!
First, Linford Detweiler’s amazing, surreal piano music- I listened to that while freehand drawing clouds on my artroom ceiling and it is so tranquil.
And fine, fine, dark chocolate. The finest, and best I can find.
