I tend to wear aprons to look like I am cooking (when things are really under control and I just need a break from the crowd) and when I am grooming my dogs – so the various combs, brushes and spray bottles are all within reach (gotta love the pockets).

  2. Suzi Says:

    :) What a funky apron!

Whilst wearing an apron I like to get messy doing printing or silk painting.. not something I have much space for in my current flat!

  3. Viv Says:

I need this apron for wommaning the barricades during the next revolution in which we overthrow greed for good and establish an economic system based on swapping. It would contain all necessities – knitting, sewing kit, sandwich and my Iphone of course.

Gorgeous aprons!! The mixtures of fabrics are wonderful. Well, I love to make shortbread cookies, and kitty treats with my sweet niece when she comes to visit. And we both, (heehee, a ‘lil embarrassed to admit)like to twirl in the mirror and giggle, with our aprons on.

This pattern is so cool. I just started making aprons. I actually want to make a variety because my friend and I are opening a little boutique this month and we plan on wearing a different apron everyday while we are in the shop working. I also wear aprons at home while baking and crafting.

In the kitchen I like to dry my hands on an apron, besides of preventing to stain my clothes.
I love your stylish apron patterns.

  16. Jessica Says:

Hmm, that’s a tough call. Probably baking would be the time I would enjoy this the most. Cooking dinner, perhaps, but baking is always a special occasion since it doesn’t happen every night.

  17. Fancy Elastic Says:

I cook in my aprons, not always, but definitly when making pastry or gravy… messy food!

  18. Melissa Says:

Bake chocolate chips cookies and then eat them!

  19. Michelle Says:

Two things? Cooking dinner with a glass of wine. And, well, though I’ve yet to do it, I always say I’m going to wear mine out — as a fashion piece. They’re always just so cute and I think more than the chicken I’m cooking in my kitchen should get to see them. Right?!

  20. Jenny Barnett Rohrs Says:

This seems obvious, but I craft in aprons. I always need quick access to my glue stick, retractable craft blade, and scissors in one pocket…and I tuck my iPod in the other. I also teach jewelry & polymer clay classes in aprons…but instead of the iPod, I tuck in my jewelry pliers, some band-aids, and packs of wipeys. Who couldn’t use a hip apron? Thanks for the giveaway, Jenny

  21. Susan in Arkansas Says:

I love aprons, we actually call them “pinnies” and my favorite one is a clothespin pinnie, the front has a big pocket with 2 scooped openings so when hanging laundry, it’s easy to get to the clothespins. So that’s my favorite thing to do in a pinnie, hang out. lol The other thing is cook for company, that’s when my good clothes need protecting. My mom is always in one, she loves the pockets.

I discovered your blog just a few days ago after seeing your aprons on flickr. VERY nice!

  22. Marlana Says:

I love to wear aprons when I cook and bake but mostly during the holiday season. It helps make it feel more festive. Nice contest!

  23. Wendy Says:

For an apron like that, I’d have to say hand-rolling noodles and making truffles (lots of wiping of hands on the apron). This one’s adorable.

But I need a full on, sleeved one for cooking hot grease. No one has made a cute version of that as far as I know.

  24. Marcijo Says:

For me its baking or doing dishes for my daughter its baking or painting.

  25. Netter Says:

I like to make breakfast with my son, me in my blue apron him in his orange. I also like to wear a high apron when I’m eating, to keep my clothes clean!

An apron is a must when I’m canning and jamming. I also always wear one to cook dinner. Aprons like this look cute and sassy! Everyone likes to feel cute and sassy, even when their just cooking dinner! Thanks for the giveaway!

  30. Maggie Says:

As boring as it may be, I wear aprons while cooking since I am very messy (just as my husband). I can never seem to keep food off of my clothes. Having one of these would make me want to wear it all the time and I could feel like a better homemaker than I actually am!

  31. Lisha Says:

I plan on using while I’m painting, and crafting (doing what I can to avoid actually cooking)

  32. Leslie Says:

Ooh! I covet that apron! Naughty me! I can’t cook, so wearing it to look quite while making dinner is out . . . but I do love to bake and am quite messy at that. So, I’d definitely wear it for that. (And I’d probably try to remain neater, so I didn’t get it all flour-y and messy!) I’d also wear it while crafting or scrapbooking . . . or if I just wanted to look extra cute for whatever reason!

  33. cara Says:

i wear aprons while baking and while cooking on holidays also when i’m doing heavy cleaning. love this pattern and the colors!

I enjoy wearing my apron whilst cooking messy southern foods. I get so tired of laundering grease stains. It also comes in super handy when I’m cleaning house. I like to use it as a big dangly rag because I can’t stand having goop on my hands.

  36. Becky Says:

    Love the aprons!
I would wear one while making cookies with my grandchildren, they love to cook with grandma. I would also wear this cute apron just for fun, and maybe my husband will want to play in the kitchen with me!

  37. Katie Says:

I’m 8 months pregnant and lately I’ve been wearing an apron to wash the dishes because I can’t seem to come away from the sink without a dripping wet shirt. I also tend to get flour everywhere when baking, so an apron keeps me dust free.

  38. towhee Says:

Wearing an apron is a daily ritual for making dinner. It just wouldn’t occur to me to not wear one. But if I’m baking during the day or cooking all day long for a holiday meal that apron stays on for many hours. Last Christmas I asked everyone to go outside for a family photo in the unusually deep snow and set my camera on a tripod so I could be in the photo too. I didn’t bother taking off my apron for the photo, it was who I was on Christmas–an apron wearer.

  39. Morgan Says:

I like to wear a cute apron cleaning the house, just to feel pretty when things get disgusting. And when I bake with the kids, just for fun!

  40. Hanna Says:

Wearing an apron puts me in a “bread-baking mood”. It makes me feel like a legit baker! Also, whenever we have guests over, I let them choose an apron and where it while in the kitchen getting food ready…even if they don’t help much…just to lighten up the conversation. It works!

  41. Yvonne Says:

I wear an apron while baking with my 4 year old daughter. It’s not necessarily for me. She likes to wipe her hands on it even though she has one on herself. Haven’t quite figured that one out yet. Maybe she just doesn’t want to get hers dirty.

  42. RisaJ Says:

I love aprons. They make me feel like I’m really cooking or something (please note, I’m not the main cook in my house). The pattern is really cool!!

  43. Tara Says:

oo what a different apron! I tend to don an apron while i cook – especially when there’s more than just me in the kitchen so i can force everyone else into an apron too! That and crafty days – especially when things like brusho come out to play.

  44. sherri s. Says:

Sweet aprons! Aprons should be worn when baking bread and cookies (flying flour) and I think they’re sweet to be wearing when guests arrive for dinner…they tell them “I’ve been in the kitchen, working to make something we’ll all share.” Thanks for the giveaway.

  45. Michelle Says:

I love to cook in my apron, but my favorite recipe is making my family’s handed down tomato sauce and meatball recipe. I also do dishes while wearing an apron because I usually make a mess! Cool contest. Thanks.

  46. marisa Says:

Definitely wear an apron while cooking, and, more recently, while I feed my 10 month old son – food seems to fly everywhere!

  47. Alison K Says:

I simply love aprons. One thing I like to do when wearing an apron is when I am baking, or doing dishes, or cooking dinner, or mopping. There is nothing better than flouncing around the kitchen in an apron. Another thing I like to do while wearing an apron is knitting. It’s just so handy to put my needles, yarn, stitch markers, etc., in my apron, and if I want to go to another room or need to check up on laundry, it all comes with me.

  48. Chloe Bordages Says:

I like to wear aprons when I’m cleaning the apartment, b/c with roommates, there’s no telling what kind of stuff you might get on your clothes. I also wear them when I’m baking, frying, or cooking with any kind of red sauces.

  49. méri Says:

What I like best to do while wearing an apron is baking (bread or cakes) and painting with my grand-daughters!

  50. tina Says:

Baking, and I also wear an apron while I’m printing.

  51. Kate Says:

I would be hosting a dinner party with a few of my closets friends and enjoying the fruits of my cooking labour. (In my dreams):-)

  52. Jessica Sadlier Says:

Great pattern! I like to wear an apron when baking and also if I’m having casual company over and want to feel and look “hostessy” :o)

  53. Brassy Apple Says:

Just a quick side note – I do ship internationally if you’d like to pick one up! Just choose the international shipping option on your cart :)

    thanks!! good luck!

  54. Sandra :) Says:

I usually throw an apron on when I’m cooking, but I’ve also been known to throw one on when I greet hubby at the front door after work – I assume he’ll assume I’ve been busy cooking and cleaning all day, when in reality, I may have spent a great deal of the day playing on the computer and talking on the phone :D

  55. Maria Says:

I like to cook wearing an apron and of course, while I’m painting! Even then, I manage to get oil paints all over me! ;)

  56. sharon Says:

I have never worn an apron.
but, since my clothes are usually marked by my cooking endeavor , I should seriously consider, making than wearing one

  57. Kim Says:

Cooking (especially baking as I’m messy) and washing the dishes…our sink is wonky and I often end up getting wetter than the dishes I’m washing…lovely patterns!

  58. Natalie Says:

    Sweet aprons!

I wear mine while eating bons bons and watching Oprah. I like to think of my life as an episode of I Love Lucy. There will be aprons and there will be high jinks!

I would wear it as a sassy fashion statement!

  60. MelodyJ Says:

I like to wear and an apron when cooking and baking. I also like them when craft painting.

  61. Stitchminx Says:

My favourite things to do in a Haute Couture apron would be 1. some delicously hot cooking! Less spills of course. and 2. delightful baking of tea cakes to impress my friends with!

I may make a mess in the kitchen, but I’d look so elegant in a New Apron!

Thanks for letting me enter. Rgds, Stitchminx

  62. Lindsey Says:

I love this haute apron! I enjoy cooking and hosting dinner parties in beautiful aprons. It makes me feel so classy and sassy!

  63. craftytammie Says:

beautiful aprons! I wear aprons when I am decorating cakes and found an odd use for one recently – I wore a heavy full length apron I’ve never cared much for while I was cutting ceramic tile – the wet saw throws back a lot of spray!

  64. Maggie Says:

Love the aprons. I like to do the dishes in an apron then I like to dance around the kitchen pretending to be June Cleaver. You should see me twirl.

Thanks for hosting this amazing giveaway.

  65. Jude Says:

Love those aprons. I don’t wear aprons, I just make them for other people! What I would like to do whilst wearing the haute hostess apron is recline on the divan and eat bon bons.

    Thank you!

  66. maria Says:

I use aprons when I make “empanadas”

  67. Shanna Says:

Hmm, that would be bake desserts, have a cocktail and more baking.

  68. Em... Says:

Making cupcakes and trying to give my cat a bath (the latter of which makes the most mess).

  69. Caroline Says:

    1) I like to bake/cook/clean while wearing an apron…. Boring, I know. If we’re being specific, I like to wear an apron to make pizza, which involves flour coating every available surface (especially decent clothes).

    2) I like to glare at people while wearing an apron. Let me explain. I usually bake / cook to relax from the day (as well as to make food, of course), and while doing so it is a normal occurrence for EVERY member of my family to walk through the kitchen, move the salt to a different counter, peer over my shoulder, open the oven door mid-baking, hang out and complain about their days, etc. etc. when I just want to be alone with my food. Let me tell you, dusting one’s hands on an apron perfunctorily while icily assessing the intruder makes one a formidable figure.

So, those are my two. VERY cute apron; thanks (as ever) for the giveaway!

  70. CCherry Says:

Only two? I have different aprons that are hanging around the house for different purposes. There is a X backed smock apron in the kitchen that’s great for drying hands on and protecting clothes. The craft room has a cobbler’s apron with pockets for holding bits and catching stray paint and goo. The clothes pin apron hangs by the back door. The gardening apron is sturdier to hold up to small shovels and pruners. But my favorite apron is one that my grandmother always wore, it is hanging next to my cookbooks. It doesn’t get worn anymore but it does its job of keeping warm memories alive.

  71. Louby Lou Says:

While wearing this apron I would strut around the kitchen in a very Nigella, Domestic Goddess manner, while whipping up lots of yummy treats with minimum effort. Later, I’d trip down to the local farmer’s market complete with Cath Kidston floral wellies, headscarf and chunky handknitted sweater to buy artisan breads, local organic veggies and homemade chuntney from the WI for the first picnic of what will hopefully be a long, warm spring.

  72. Jeni Says:

I am in need of a super cute apron for my little cake baking business my friend and I just started. When we deliver cakes I would love to show up in on of those cute aprons. Hey I think it would make my cakes look even better :) thanks for the chance to win!

  73. edina Says:

Great apron! I cook/bake and craft in my aprons.

  74. Darlene Says:

Two things I do in my aprons? I gather eggs from my little chicken farm in the city, tucking the soft brown and blue eggs into the deep pockets of my apron. I also hang my laundry on the line, wearing my frilly apron over a summer skirt and cowgirl boots!

  75. Aimee Says:

So Fun! Well, since I am trying to make a 2 month meal plan for my family, I’m trying out all sorts of recipes to find our favorites. My little toddler loves to help and that means we have lots of messes! I love wearing an apron during our fun around the house….for some reason it gives me some kitchen confidence :)

  76. Nas Says:

Well this is easy! In my apron I like to bake… and then eat my baking! It all happens so fast there’s really no time or need to take off my apron :)

  77. Jenny Says:

I wear my apron most of the day nearly everyday. My 2 favorite things to do while in my apron are making breakfast, and crafts with the kids. Aprons are awesome!

I should wear an apron when I eat. I’m always dropping food on my clothes!

  83. Beth Says:

    Gorgeous pinnies!
I wear mine when I’m hanging out the washing on the line and when I’m baking flapjacks.

  84. Isobel Says:

These are gorgeous. I have a really horrible old school apron that I use when I’m fixing my bike – the pocket is ideal for keep tools to hand and not losing crucial tiny bits of metal, and a much nicer one for cooking, particularly when flour is involved – it gets everywhere!

  85. Kate Says:

I wear a full front apron when I am splashing around with dye, and my kitchen apron when I am cooking. My hands and face and sometimes back get covered with muck, but my front stays clean :)

  86. Kim Says:

Making cookies with my little girl

make my husband happy because I make the most wonderfull cookies with her

  87. Kelley Says:

  90. Kim Says:

I like to wear an apron while sewing, I keep my tools in it. I also wear it when I cook. Really I wear it all day, makes me feel much more domestic ;)

  91. Kate Says:

I always wear an apron when I make bread, otherwise I ended up with my jeans crusted with dough and flour from absentmindedly wiping my hands.

  92. Rosa Says:

I like to tie my hair up in a gingham ‘kerchief like the good old housewifes and then I either bake or I just sit around the house pretending to be from the 1950s and wishing I was…

  93. Theresa N Says:

I’d wear it to cook of course. Then there’s that other thing, you know when I start channeling June Cleaver.

  94. Alana Says:

While wearing this apron of +5 awesome I would make a dinner from my grandma aka mom #2 so she would be able to see my girlie “Susie home-maker” side, and I’d wear it while bathing our (fiance and I) pet hedgehogs so the pockets could hold a container of meal worms for treats.

  95. Andrea M. Says:

Such cute aprons! I also wear mine while sewing, to hold my scissors, seam gauge, etc. I also wear it while baking. When I want to be especially sassy, I wear an apron to PTA fundraisers!

  96. Christina Says:

    What beautiful aprons!
I just love wearing aprons:) I wear them to cook, to craft and to garden… My current gardening apron is waterproof and has daisies on it. I like to wear an apron when I’m sewing, with pockets for scissors, pens, measuring tape, etc. and also when I am doing things with our Girl Scout troop. As a matter of fact, the girls are having an afternoon of baking next weekend and I’ve make each girl her own apron (all 16 of them!)

  99. Nichole Gould Says:

  104. Carrie S. Says:

Irresistible! My favorite thing to do while wearing an apron is bake – I never met a dessert I didn’t like. My least favorite thing to do while wearing an apron is wash the dishes, especially when my 2-year-old or 5-year-old is assisting.

  105. Carrie S. Says:

Correction: What I meant to say was my least favorite thing to do while wearing an apron is wash the dishes, but I need it especially when my 2-year-old or 5-year-old is assisting. Didn’t want to sound like I didn’t appreciate their help!

  106. andrea Says:

I like to wear an apron while baking cookies and while doing my craft shows.Sometimes both at the same time:)

  107. Jennifer Says:

I LOVE aprons and consider them wonderful fashion accessories. I like to make cute ones with pockets to wear around town over jeans. When I cook, I wear an old boring apron because I don’t want to ruin my nice ones. Today, I wore a handmade apron all day. There’s something about a great apron that make me very happy. I don’t just cook in aprons, I LIVE in them!

I love this apron! How pretty!

Not only do I wear and apron while cooking, I also wear an apron that has a ton of pockets while I scrapbook because I have a tendency to spread all of my accoutrements over the entire table top, so keeping the essentials handy and not hidden is key.

  131. Liz B Says:

I wear an apron pretty much every minute I am in the kitchen because I am a klutz! So cooking and washing dishes are the primary activities for apron wearing. Then when dinner is done I tend to leave my apron on when I sit down to eat (klutz, remember?) to catch anything my napkin misses!

I love, love, love aprons and have assorted styles each suitable to the task at hand…cooking, baking…crafting…and of course hostessing. I love that this is named the “Haute Hostess” apron, because that is just what I though of when I first saw this stylish little number. I think it would be perfect for hostessing a spring or summer brunch. I also bake custom wedding and celebration cakes and this would be the perfect delivery apron.

    Fun aprons!

Two things I like to do in my aprons? Hmm, have a glass of wine and make my family dinner. :)

An apron is like a comfortable and pretty tool belt. Putting one on always helps me feel “ready” for whatever I’m about to do. The two most common things I do while wearing an apron would be crafting and gardening.

I would give the apron to one of my daughters, who collects and wears them. She loves the 30s era and even had the 30s as her wedding theme. She’s a teacher but has taken time off to have her first child and is enjoying being a domestic goddess and mother. She is an excellent seamstress and makes her daughter’s diapers and her own vintage clothing. I can just see her wearing one of these aprons as she whips up a meal in her kitchen!

I would wear this apron out over jeans, or at home while I bake — especially when I’m making and serving my cinnamon rolls. Yummy.
