In answer to your question: This technique is not more accurate than any other but it does allow for more accurate cutting of fabric, which results in less wastage (I hate wastage). And since you don't sew through the paper, it's MUCH easier to remove when you're done. Thanks for the link to my tutorial!

Takes a little work, but my blocks come out nice and I think it uses less fabric.
