whipup roundup {first week of June}

I can’t believe its June already – Winter is definitely in the air. I have spent the last few days trawling the gallery scene in Melbourne – and have found some amazing spaces. I really recommend the current Anita Traverso show in Richmond, Gallery Gabrielle Pizzi in Flinders Lane is a beautiful space and has a wonderful Indigenous art show on. And if you are into music/art installation work then head to Fitzroy to Conical Project Space.

Here is the lowdown of the good stuff from this past week at whipup:

book reviews this past week: Kaffe Fassett : sweet booties : eco craft .

Kitty crafts: kitty cardboard chaise : cross stitch cats.

Fabric and sewing: what to do with Echino oil cloth : upgraded yoyo contributor tutorial : string necklace tutorial : don’t forget to check out the story on free online quilt patterns.

Crochet and yarn and knitting : pull tab crochet flower : make your own resin knitting needles : crochet flower card.

kids and family: refashioned t-shirt back pack: finger puppets : denim bib tutorial :sarubobo plush (I love these).

Well I am off to the Victoria markets with my brother and nephew this morning – they are waiting impatiently nearby so I better get going.
