When I first started writing this weekly newsletter a few months ago, I wasn’t sure if anyone would subscribe, so imagine my delight when I reached 1000 subscribers within a few weeks. And now just recently I have reached over 3000 subscribers – so I am really super excited and want to thank you all for reading, for subscribing and for telling your friends. I recently received a couple of thank you letters and wanted to share a snippet with you all: Sharon wrote “I receive your newsletter in my email … thanks for doing the newsletter. It’s probably a lot of work, I personally am excited every time I open it and I’ve found lots of interesting things there” and from Fabiola “I just wanted to say how much I look forward and enjoy reading your newsletter. It’s truly inspirational, and has such a wide variety of different things to look at and think about. … You make my Saturday morning an inspirational one :)” Thank you all for inspiring me – lots coming up in this newsletter – last week I promised pics of my finished craft room – no luck unfortunately – it is bare awaiting the plasterer and painter – maybe next week? In the meantime …
My fave projects for the week – I love the patchwork cubes - oh so darling : and this colourful woven candy sachet - totally cool and fun : and the hot frog – with tutorial and pattern.
We reviewed some books this week: a novel – a little unusual for us as whipup – but since it all about obsessions and hobbies I think you will love it - the enthusiast and a sweet quilt book – quilts, baby!
quilting and sewing inspiration: freezer paper piecing : envelope purse : find out about designing and making softies.
Around the home: I am totally into these tiny toolboxes - you gotta make one : herb dryer : a drying rack – what a great idea.
Paper: I love the sweetness of this doily garland : origami koi : great idea for thank you notes.
knitting + crochet: love the multiple use knit wrap : and the knitted baby cosy : these crochet baskets are simple : and the crochet baby hat is very cute : but for something a little different the mama and baby monsters – knit pattern – adorable : and this felted tote is lovely too – so much to do so little time.

Dear Kathleen,
I love your Whipup roundup that you send to us each Saturday. It is my favourite site, I sit there opening up each one like a lovely suprise gift. Each one really gets my creative juices going, and would like to make all of them, but of course that dreaded word ‘time’ must come creeping in. But I really appreciate the ‘time’ you take to do this and thank you profusely for doing it.
Elaine Howard
