Thank you Amy for this great tutorial on making a laptop sleeve – so handy – I have been meaning to make one of these … It’s a great little tutorial — it actually turns out to be very simple to make, and the instructions are written so that it can be customized to any size computer. I designed it with the quilting on the inside, which makes it sleek and modern — easily turned into something for a guy as well. But it would also be simple to switch it so the quilting is on the outside. I’ve included a number of alternate suggestions for closures.

Try cathedral quilts … I love string blocks and using up those scraps is so much fun … how cute is this tea-pot block - what a cute mini quilt in your kitchen … the dolly dresses small quilt is so very cute – the combo of applique and log-cabin blocks works really well … this christmas tree applique quilt is lovely … use up those selvedges by making a mini spiderweb quilt

The Meaning of Making – another fantastic event – is a drop-in hands on crafting social, followed by a panel discussion featuring local artists and artisans working in the realm of handmade. This event is free and open to the public. Beer and pizza will be available for a suggested donation.
