What do I think? I think this is amazing. Serious art. I knit and crochet and I know what it takes to do this kind of work…this is incredible, the work of a real master who I am sure didn’t know. It was just something (and I bet it was a she)”did”.
I’ve crocheted for over 20 years and it takes a lot to impress me. I find this pattern utterly stunning! I love it!
Love this pattern. Tried ordering from Knit Knacks on June 2, but so far have not been sent the PDF even though it says that it would be sent within 24 hours of purchase.
Finally did receive the pattern book from Knit Knacks, but only after emailing to ask for it and then getting a promise to send it later. Now that I have it, I am majorly disappointed in the Log Cabin instructions. The instructions are no more than what you see when you follow the link.

There are no other instructions in the book for this pattern, no listing of colors used and more importantly, no diagram or instructions of any kind of how to put it together, showing how to arrange the squares to get the pattern. Not worth $10.86 for this because it is by far the most interesting pattern in the book and the instructions are far from complete.
My advice is that if you are interested in making the Log Cabin afghan, don’t buy the book because you will not get anything that is not shown on the website description already. You will just have to figure it out on your own from those pictures. I am going to try to make it.
thanks francine for your advice – I look forward to hearing how your afghan goes
