Christine emailed me to let me know about her pursuit of “a life more crafty”. She has started on a mad venture of trying a new craft every week for a year. Its called 52 projects in 52 weeks – you could join her!
It’s possible that I may end up bankrupt in the process – 52 new crafts (or at least most of them will be new) isn’t going to be cheap so I’ll have to find the lowest cost ways possible to get creative by hunting down bargains. And I may have to beg forgiveness from my husband on more that one occasion as the craft room starts overflowing. But hopefully it will be fun and along the way I’ll learn new skills and make lots of pretty things for me, my home and my friends and family.
So Far Christine has tried freehand machine embroidery and paper quilling – next its papier mache. Looks like a fun way to spend the next 52 weekends.

That sounds like a fantastic challenge! I may have to try it some year.
Good for you! I’m lucky to get in one craft in 4 months! LOL! If you need any CHEAP, cost 0 ideas, phone me.:) The latest thing I did was an anthropologie inspired night light. They did a whole chandelier, but who has time for that?! email me and i’ll give you the directions. I’m not computer savvy enough to do a you tube video on it, and i haven’t seen it anywhere . Took all of 15 minutes start to finish..and so useful! All ya need is a cheap night light and water bottle…some old beads and paint.Godd luck! are you gonna post the photos of your stuff?
I invented “CRAFT 52″ at the start of this year on my blog.
It does inspire me to make more things!
