Michelle sent in the link to a pattern worksheet she has devised: I have a free measurement worksheet available for download on my blog. There is a lot of info on the internet for taking your measurements, but I couldn’t find a worksheet you could fill in with the info, so I made one.

To help get in the World Cup spirit, Karen has made a fabric soccer ball: It not only shows the good results, but also the problems of making one, such as sequence/pattern issues and stuffing lumpiness. All in all, it’s a quick project, about 2 hours; it doesn’t take much fabric; and if each shape is made with 5 cm sides, it can make a nice throw pillow size.

Linn shows how how to make lavender water and what you can use it for.

the fabulous quilter Sherri Lynn Wood has finally started a blog – Dainty time. Sherri Lynn Wood is one of the contributors to my mini quilts book and the creator of Passage Quilts. Sherri describes her plans for the blog thus: www.daintytime.NET is a new wave feminist, craft art blog devoted to exploring craft as a life practice. Inspiration, techniques, DIY, craft-a-longs, modern quilts, improvisational process. (This is not your grandmother’s craft blog!)

Sherri currently has two tutorials underway. One is on mending, and the other is a Modern Mood Quilt craft-along (explore and manifest your summertime emotions).
Nicola sent in her tutorial for this super quick and fun stitched notebook – love it!
