for the men in your life, make a refashioned apron from canvas bags. If you are celebrating fathers day next weekend (in Australia its a September thing) then you might want to whip one or two up for the dad in your life. thanks Betz.

Are you following along on the blog tour for my book ‘Whip up mini quilts’?

[this is the 1984 (Pegasus) quilt by Liz Harvatine)

The next 2 stops on the tour are: Craftsanity – where the piped binding tutorial is shared – you know the one that is used in the Powerline quilts by Meg Spaeth.

Handmade by Alissa discusses the book and the fun that can be had making mini quilts.

Clair sent in this thank you stitchery - a perfect end of the school year gift: I designed it to thank special people like teachers, carers and coaches, but it works for anyone that deserves a thank-you. It is simple enough that children can even participate in some of the sewing – most of it is completed in backstitch, which my kids could manage from an early age
