Its my birthday today and I am treating myself to some me time – yesterday I indulged in a yarn day with a friend and it was good! Feeling the birthday blues today – maybe its PMT, but kids fighting with each other and husband out of town, are sort of making me feel a bit down. Birthday woes are boring though, so I will not succumb – instead I will make a cup of tea, get out my crochet, and listen to loud music – maybe even dance vigorously and crazily in the kitchen, by myself, to my loud music while wearing my nanna’s cardigan. What do you do when you have the blues?

I do have lots to catch up on and prepare for a week away from home next week – if anyone is planning on attending the Melbourne Art Fair – do come and say hi – I will sitting at the Art Monthly stall.

i hope you had a wonderful bday. good music, good tea and a fun craft are usually all it takes to get me out of a funk. although, when the hubby is out of town and all 3 kids get to going…i usually have to add a hot bath to relieve the funk.

A hot bath does sound like the go. I took the kids to a tea shop for afternoon tea and we indulged on cherry crumble and chocolate pie.

Happy Birthday and thanks for your blog…I had a bit of the bday blues myself last week…and I was delighted to hear you were wearing your nana’s sweater–I had a sweater that I wear when down which belonged to my beloved aunt, who was like a gram to me. It’s pink and I’ve never washed it in 23 years (don’t wear it THAT much)!

    Hope things go better….Ann

Happy birthday–belated. When I have the blues I usually find that pushing myself to do something outside–a bit of gardening, or a hike or something–helps lift me up. MY head and mood just feel cleared out by the natural world.

And also, thanks for keeping this site up and putting your time into it. It is a great site–one of my favorites–and I know it takes lots of time to do something like this–but it is so appreciated by me.
