Well my last weekend plans sort of disintegrated into lounging on the couch – inbetween the rain and working from home I didn’t get much else done all week. I have been addicted to watching reruns of ‘Grand designs’ a fabulous UK show where you get to see a house go from planning to completion – and all sorts of designs from totally handmade eco homes to hi-tech modern architect design homes. Anyway watching reruns has strengthened my resolve to one day buy a big area of land by the sea and build something interesting and eco. One day. In the meantime I have been living vicariously by popping in on Amanda Soule and her handmade life.

If you have sent me an email lately, you might be thinking me quite rude in not having replied. The truth is you are no alone – my inbox is filling up and I can’t yet quite face them. Instead I did my tax – yes that is how bad the email situation has become. I need a PA! If you too are looking for a perfect procrastination project then may I suggest one of these Pojagi style quilts – excellent tutorial for making these the modern way at the Silly Boo Dilly.

Wow. Yep wow. Full disclosure, Elizabeth, sent whipup a copy of Nuno Magazine. I had no idea what it was, so when I opened it and started flipping through it I was pleasantly surprised. I love the design, the projects and the overall feel. So many projects from one lady! Yep one lady. 150 pages including over 30 projects and lots of great projects like leather mushrooms, toilet paper tube puppets, woodland animal masks, pebble jewelry and more. Seriously. Was a great surprise in our whipup mail box. Thanks Elizabeth and good luck! Link to Nuno.
