Here is a quirky selection of some of my favourite free online knitting patterns. There isn’t really a rhyme or reason to this collection of free patterns that I have put together – except that I like them! There are fingerless gloves, cowls, sweaters, hats, some toys and geeky things and some stylish and fitted things. Have a browse and discover something new…

Thank you for the thoughtful shaing of your favorite patterns. I was looking for the motivation to get back to the knitting that brought to me a sense of joy and accomplishment. I can’t wsit to explore you blog more thoroughly. I’ve discovered my motivation. Again, thank you.

Is the pattern for the hat in the first image listed? I can’t seem to find it but it looks really nice!

Lisa — It’s the “Robin’s Egg Blue Hat” by Rachel Lufer that falls on the same line as the “Feroche Brioche” (neck warmer) by Margaux. It’s a few entries beyond the halfway point of the list.

I read through the comments on Rachel’s blog — I’m new to knitting and snagged a couple of the Q&A’s from her just in case I get stuck. It looks a lot like a hat Banana Republic featured not too long ago in their line up. Lovely!
