Oh my! the week has flown and I feel strangely at odds. So many projects on the go – but none resolved… (yes another book, another deadline … + lots of things in the pipeline for whipup! and some possible freelance gigs …). But working at home is working for me – the freedom, the quiet, the internet, the sunshine pouring in through the windows, the damn noisy chooks and getting to know the postman and the daily goings on in the street, but I think my husband was envisioning gourmet dinners every night – ha!

At whipup this week:

  • mini sailers scarf
  • infinity scarf pattern
  • ‘zilla’ halloween costume
  • fridge snookie
  • lunch money purse
  • crochet ricrac
  • Crafty news

  • Part of Fat Quarterly Team, Katy, (aka Ginger Monkey), Brioni (aka FlossyBlossy) & John (aka Quilt Dad), will be attending Quilt Market and will be chatting with Denyse Schmidt on Saturday – doing a live Q&A via Twitter with the questions coming from the online quilting community! If you would like to join in the conversation you can read all the details of the event with the varying time zones here.
  • Free pattern from Amy Butler’s Style Stitches – her new and wonderful book showing new bag patterns.
  • Plus a sneak peak slide show of Amy Butler’s new fabric collection – Soul Blossom
  • Some extra links:

  • Hedwig the owl halloween treat bag
  • In time for the entertaining season – convert a second hand cabinet into a stylish bar
  • I love this wrap around belt made with t-shirt yarn
  • The sampler cowl from the latest CEY web letter is gorgeous
  • Cute t-shirt braided headband
  • Craftstew has compiled a list of 125+ Free Plastic Canvas Patterns
  • and hoping for some good things from the quilt market live blog run by citycraft
  • Make something today!

Gourment dinners – Hahahah. We’d rather make something we can keep – not eat!
