Molly has been busy crocheting up these motifs from jute and twine, how cool do they look? Use them for potholders or scrubbies or love them strung across for a banner don’t you?

love these hung from the string with the clothespin!! simple and beautiful. great ‘winter’ decor.
I’m having a “why didn’t I think of that” moment. These are beautiful. Did I really just call twine beautiful? Oh, yes. Yes I did. I can imagine that has to be rough on the hands, though. Any tips?
thanks for sharing kathreen! yes, the material is tough on the fingers. i put bandaids on the fingers that were making the most contact with the material – that seemed to help.
What a great, simple photo with all those hanging on the line. Love.
molly, amazing! i tried knitting with the stuff to make a simple mat, it certainly is hard on your hands. but the sculptural qualities are delightful. i love the balance of the rustic and the ornate. x
if you lined those with a little felt cut to the shape, they’d make great coasters.
I’d never thought of making my own scrubbies. What a cute way to make kitchen chores more fun!
