Week 2 of 2011 and the weather is crazy on my side of the world – its a wet summer – Good luck to all the folk in Qld experiencing flooding and evacuations. And in more Northern climes – the heavy snow is also causing havoc – I hope you are tucked in snugly at home.

  • Have you signed up for C&T publishing’s new venture? Patternspot – a new market place for sewing designers to sell their patterns – its not yet live, but you can sign up to find out more.
  • Wendi Gratz is launching a new sewing tutorial site – where she will be posting regular sewing tutorials, patterns, reviews, and embroidery patterns – looks like it is going to be a great resource.
  • BurdaStyle is having a sewing star talent search for a nationally broadcast sewing show. They are really looking for someone dynamic that can stand out and represent BurdaStyle for their first television appearance on a major network. It’s Sew Easy, the new television program to be broadcast in the United States on Public Television, and BurdaStyle needs a member to star in a 10 minute television spot instructing a national audience on a BurdaStyle sewing project!
