in Action Pack Extras

If you simply can’t wait till next week to get The Great Outdoors issue, our first three issues are still available and are never out of date! Issue 1: Paper + Beeswax and has some great bee, wax and honey themed projects. Issue 2: Seeds + Beads is full of gardening and cooking projects and Issue 3: Sew + Tea is for tea lovers with lots of tasting and tea related sewing crafts.

Next week I will be launching The Great Outdoors MEGA issue of my eMag for kids. To celebrate I am showing sneak peaks this week with some lovely project excerpts thrown in.

This Action Pack has a lovely big section on crafts: Including detailed instructions on how to make a must-have utility belt and bag (utility belt pictured below), flower press and nature journal to take along on your nature excursions with you, and nature jewels and a woven fly swat that you can make while camping or hiking, from materials you can find along the way.

Project excerpt: Make a nature journal + printable pages

Download the project excerpt to make this nature journal. It is super simple using whatever paper you happen to have on hand, plus we offer a printable page template you can use too. Not only is this a great project to take along camping or for nature hikes, you can adapt this book for anything you like and make it from whatever found paper you have on hand.

This week I launched my new Action Pack website – where you can find out all about the Action Pack – a little bit of background and our philosophy. Plus you can become an affiliate, and you can already grab somefreebies from previous Action Packs.

Oh, the utility belt! I remember making my own when I was about 10 (though the details fade into memory) so I could be just like Harriet the Spy, my first role model. Yours is so terrific I’m tempted to make myself a grown up version and never carry a purse again!

Yeah, those belts are so cute, in deed. I love them.
