Just returned from a few days away. We were in Hobart for an extra nice long-ish weekend. Birthday party, outings, hiking, skimming rocks, feeding fish, making snowmen. We walked up Mt Wellington (not all the way) it was lovely and snowy, and we visited MONA - amazing – if you have a change to go – make sure you do. The most original and interesting art gallery in Australia.
And that teapot pic that snuck in there amongst the holiday shots is my crochet tea cosy that I made this week. Snug and fitted and lovely and blue. I freestyled it – began it like a crochet beanie and then split it at the handle and spout and then joined it back up again. And then added a little cup at the spout. You like?

It’s nice to see some snow! It is so hot in Kentucky, the city pool had to shut down the kiddy pool because the water was too hot! What a snug teapot cozy, I like it. I keep meaning to make one for my teapot, but haven’t gotten around to it yet. Glad you had a good break.
I used to live in Hobart and as a local Mt wellington was “the mountain”. My mum always used to say ‘look at the snow on the mountain’ if there was something around she didn’t want me to notice (like a circus in town etc). Your pictures bring back great memories of throwing snowballs on ‘the mountain’.
Oh yes – we call it The Mountain too have a lovely view from the in laws house – so amazing with snow on it – and right in the city – just incredible.
